The Voice slots

Channel your inner Adam Levine or Blake Shelton with the new “The Voice” slot machines, currently available in Atlantic City exclusively at the Borgata Hotel Spa & Casino.

Even those who’ve never seen the popular NBC-TV singing competition, but enjoy interactive games with lots of bonuses, free spins and progressives, will find these state-of-the-art machines entertaining and, hopefully, profitable.

For example, triggered by three “Hand” symbols on reels one, three and five, The Voice Bonus may award Audition Free Spins, the Performer Bonus, a Coach Progressive or The Voice Jackpot.

The Audition Free Spins bonus expands the symbol grid to 50 pay lines while a top screen displays chairs that turn to reveal a Wild reel multiplier which remains active for that spin and all remaining spins.

During the Performer Bonus, players pick a singer-contestant to “experience” the bonus with. The bonus could award additional credits or one of the Coach Progressives — where the really big wins are.

The Coach Progressives are named after the celebrities featured in the game.

Potentially, players can win all four Coach Progressives during the Performer bonus.

Finally, there’s The Voice Jackpot, awarded during The Voice Bonus.

The Voice penny slot machines are located adjacent to Premier Nightclub and The Living Room. Minimum bet is 75 credits (75 cents); maximum bet is 375 credits ($3.75)

Sitting pretty

You don’t even have to play to join in the fun of the new “The Voice” slot machines. Borgata has a replica of a coach’s chair from “The Voice” television show, so take advantage of this exclusive opportunity to sit in the chair and get your picture taken. The chair is located behind the Gypsy Bar and will be on display through Jan. 19.

Music to our ears

The Voice’s Season 3 winner, Cassadee Pope, will give a special performance 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, in the Music Box. Tickets are $29 to $35, and are available at

During her audition for “The Voice,” all four coaches offered her a place on their teams, but she chose Blake Shelton.

In the third live round, Pope performed “Over You,” co-written by her and Shelton. The song reached No. 1 on the iTunes chart.

She was the only female contestant to advance to the Top Four round, winning the title during the live finale results telecast.
