World premieres are generally associated with major motion pictures and usually take place in Hollywood, New York or London.

Super Sky Wheel isn’t a movie, but a slot machine bonus game at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa. It’s billed as a “world premiere” because, through early August, it’s the only place you can play this innovative game.

To get to the bonus you need to play its base game, Money Rain Deluxe.

Unlike traditional slot machines, there are no spinning reels. Instead, illustrations of Lincoln, Washington and faces found on other U.S. currency – from $1 to $500 — flip over like numbers on an old digital clock.

Also, there are no patterns to determine one of the 25,000 winning combinations. To win you need at least five or more identical faces on the five-by-three grid.

If one or more dollar signs appear among the symbols, they activate the spinning Money Reel at the far right of the screen and get replaced by the highlighted symbol when the reel stops.

Five “Bonus” symbols trigger the Money Catch feature. As “bills” float down from the top of the screen, poke as many as you can. The more you successfully “catch” —and the greater their denomination — the higher your final total.

Three or more Sky Wheel Bonus symbols in the base game trigger the overhead digital wheel that straddles the four adjacent Money Rain Deluxe cabinets. Depending on which slice you land, you win credits and multipliers, additional free spins and bonuses, or — if playing max bet — one of five progressives.

To play there is a 60-credit minimum, and each credit costs a penny. Additional play levels are at 120, 180, 240 and 300 credits.

Money Rain Deluxe with the Super Sky Wheel bonus is located around the corner from the Gypsy Bar, between The Metropolitan and Noodles of the World.

‘Shaq’ heads to Tropicana

Tropicana Atlantic City will introduce Shaq Jack on July 1.

Named after NBA Champion Shaquille O’Neal, Shaq Jack offers the action of a live blackjack game with actual cards and a live dealer, played from an individual gaming terminal.

Each game is a live, real-time game of 21, but players go up against the dealer only.

Players see the hand being dealt on their screens and all the standard betting options — splitting, doubling down and insurance — are available

Play Shaq Jack exclusively in The Quarter and the Poker Room.
