A new champion was crowned this weekend at A.C. Weekly's Burger Bash 3. The annual event drew big hungry crowds to The Grand Ballroom at Golden Nugget Atlantic City, as 16 of the best burger spots in all of South Jersey fired up their grills and went head-to-head for top honors. The day was a big hit despite the not-so-cooperative weather, which caused it to be moved from its originally planned location at The Deck.

The big news was Margate Dairy Bar & Burger coming in first place on the scorecards of both the people and the judges, unseating Atlantic City's Vagabond Kitchen and Tap House who won the event last year. Margate Dairy Bar's MDB Burger impressed everyone with its classic presentation, which featured a custom-blend Pat LaFrieda burger topped with American cheese, lettuce, tomato and secret sauce on one of their signature branded buns.

The party band Eleven Eleven was on hand to make sure the event stayed rocking the whole time.

Director of Entertainment Publications for The Press of Atlantic City Scott Cronick and A.C. Weekly Associate Editor Ryan Loughlin once again handed out a series of their own Fat Boy Munch Club awards to competitors in a variety of whimsical categories.
