The cost is $65 which includes the tour, bus transportation, tip, and onboard snacks. Dining and other tours are at your own cost. Payment and sign-up can be done online or via mail and seating will be based on the order of your payment. Go to www.somerspointhistory.org.


Members of the Somers Point Historical Society will receive a $5 discount that will be refunded to you the day of the trip. Make sure your dues have been received to take advantage of the discount. There are two other bus trips later this year. If you are not a member at this time, you may want to become one. Just download the application online. 


Upon arrival, we will take a tour of the U.S. Naval Academy. After the tour for those who want to continue, we will take you to the Tripoli Monument dedicated to Richard Somers and the officers who died in the Barbary War, and gravesite of John R. Elliot whom the Hero Challenge is named for the Egg Harbor Township resident. The Naval Museum is free if you stay on the grounds of the Academy. After the tour, dine in downtown Annapolis, visit the Capitol building, historic homes, shop in Historic Annapolis or take a boat tour to round out your afternoon.
