It seems like for the month of May, “bashes” are suddenly en vogue at Golden Nugget Atlantic City. In addition to A.C. Weekly’s incredible Burger Bash (for more on that turn to page 14) The Deck at Golden Nugget will also play host to “Bike Bash” 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 24.
“Bike Bash marks the start of the summer at The Deck,” says Alicia Brown, director of advertising and public relations for Golden Nugget Atlantic City.
“It’s an event we look forward to every year to kick off the season. You can expect dozens of incredibly built bikes lined up along the marina, hundreds of bike lovers and plenty of live entertainment.”
The Weeknd has lived up to the hype.
Bike Bash is sponsored by local radio station 100.7 WZXL and will feature everything from live music and beer specials to tattoo contests. It’s a chance for the local biker community to come together for one wild night. Here’s what to expect:
The band: If you just couldn’t get enough of them at Burger Bash, local favorites Seven Stone will once again take the stage to supply you and everyone else with all the rockin’ good times you can handle. This four-piece cover band plays everything from classic rock to modern hits with just about everything in between. And with a sound system as good as the one at The Deck, you can expect them to be the centerpiece of the party.
The booze: They say the early bird gets the worm. Well in this case, said bird will have to settle for a Coors Light, as they will be available for the surprisingly un-casino-like price of $1.07 from 6 to 7 p.m. While it may seem cool to roll up on your Harley fashionably late, this is one time when that move will cost you.
The tattoo contest: The 2017 Bike Bash is significant in that it marks the debut of the “Decked Out In Ink” contest, a tattoo competition in which prizes will be awarded in a variety of categories including “Best Cover Up Tattoo,” “Most Patriotic,” “Most Unique,” “Most Realistic” and what is sure to be the crowd favorite, “Worst/Bad Tattoo.”
1. It’s for a great cause. As the name suggests, Elephants for Autism raises money for diffe…
Prizes for the winners in the Decked Out In Ink contest will include a $150 gift certificate to Club 44 Tattoo Lounge in Absecon, as well as a free overnight stay at Golden Nugget and a $150 resort credit. Those interested in entering can register at WZXL.com. Over 35 pairs of tickets to upcoming concerts will also be given away.
The grand prize: Being that the event is held in an Atlantic City casino, each year there is a chance to win big. This year’s jackpot is none other than a Harley Davidson Sportster, which one lucky winner will receive courtesy of Atlantic County Harley Davidson. While the event is open to the public, you must have won a ticket on WZXL in order to be eligible to win the Harley.
