The Community FoodBank of New Jersey isn’t letting a little storm dampen its food drive. Stamp Out Hunger, the FoodBank’s 25th annual food drive — the largest single-day drive in the country — is scheduled for Saturday, May 13.
It typically requires residents to leave bags of non-perishable food by their mailboxes, to be picked up by letter carriers who will then bring them to the FoodBank’s warehouse in Egg Harbor Township. However, given the inclement weather, the FoodBank encourages participants to drop off their donations at their local post office in advance.
Suggested items to donate include peanut butter, beans, rice and canned tuna. Go to CFBNJ.org for more info.
