MOTHER’S DAY MUSIC FESTIVAL WITH MAZE FEATURING FRANKIE BEVERLY, KEM, AL B. SURE, CHRISTOPHER WILLIAMS

BOARDWALK HALL // 7 P.M. SATURDAY, MAY 11; $25

WHAT TO EXPECT: An annual tradition returns to Atlantic City this weekend with the Mother’s Day Music Festival at Boardwalk Hall. Mothers looking to get their groove on will enjoy the performance by headliners Maze featuring Frankie Beverly. The group combined the Philadelphia soul sound with the sweet R&B style of Marvin Gaye and became one of the top R&B acts of the late 1970s and 80s. Also on the bill is singer/songwriter KEM who is known for the soul hits “Love Calls,” “I Can’t Stop Loving You” and “You Might Win.” New jack swing legend Al B. Sure will also grace the stage, performing the favorites “Nite and Day” and “Off on Your Own (Girl).” Christopher Williams rounds out the lineup, bringing his brand of R&B and hits such as “I’m Dreamin’,” “Every Little Thing U Do” and “Talk to Myself.”
