1. It’s views are tough to beat. Most casino restaurants are windowless and dark, many of them tucked away from anything that might remind you of the outside world. But Chart House bucks that trend completely, offering up gorgeous views of the marina as well as the Atlantic City skyline.

2. The happy hour is legendary. This town has a lot of happy hours, but the one at Chart House has been popular for years, and for good reason. It runs 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesdays through Fridays and again on Sundays and apps will run you anywhere from $5 to $8 a pop. Items include Ahi nachos, firecracker shrimp and prime rib sliders. Drink specials feature $3 domestic drafts, $4 imported beers and well drinks, $6 wines by the glass and $7 specialty cocktails.

3. Try the fish. It may seem a bit obvious, but perhaps the best reason to stop in at Chart House is for the incredible seafood. Some of the all stars of the menu include their award-winning clam chowder, an amazing lobster and shrimp carbonara as well as a snapper Hemingway that is out of this world. Even standard seafood dishes like their coconut crunchy shrimp are somehow way better than they need to be.

4. Dine — without the crowd. Looking to host a private soiree? Chart House has options. The Champagne Room (no strippers will be involved, we promise) is a lovely space that can hold up to 100 guests with views of the shimmering skyline. For smaller events, their rooftop room holds up to 30 of your closest friends.

5. Bring a date. With the combination of amazing views, incredible seafood and one of the best happy hours in the city, you are sure to impress your date with a night out at Chart House. And if all that stuff still fails to impress her, we suggest you seek out someone nicer and more appreciative to date.
