Bourbon Room Stage

The Bourbon Room occupies the space formerly taken up by The House of Blues.

1. It’s housed in the former House of Blues. When one of A.C.’s most beloved venues, the House of Blues, shut down, the Atlantic City nightlife and entertainment scenes suffered a huge blow. Now, years later, the space formerly used for the House of Blues is the new location for The Bourbon Room, an entertainment venue that will open its doors Saturday, March 24. “Many remember years of great music, good vibes and nights they will never forget in the hall, which is exactly the legacy The Bourbon Room plans to continue,” says Jason Dobson, public relations director for The Bourbon Room.

2. It’s ready to entertain with a name to match. The space The Bourbon Room occupies in The Showboat Hotel is massive, with a 2,380-person capacity, and it is soon to feature a schedule of events that appeals to a wide variety of interests. The name is inspired by New Orleans, with bourbon as the drink of choice, and the creators are working to cultivate an atmosphere of energy and excitement similar to the one on Bourbon Street in NOLA, with live music of different genres coming together to create one crazy space for to let the good times roll.

3. Events are on the books. The Bourbon Room has already rolled out a schedule of upcoming events, following through on its promise to appeal to a wide variety of people. A whiskey social is set for March 31. Garden State Comic Fest’s Cybertronic will head there April 7. Dead Reckoning, the Grateful Dead tribute band, will perform April 20. An array of comedy nights, live performances and parties are on the horizon for The Bourbon Room, making it another exciting prospect for A.C. nightlife-seekers.
