Wednesday's forecasted mainland high temperature of 90 degrees would be a hot day in June.

In October, its record breaking.

The record high temperature at Atlantic City International Airport is "just" 85 degrees, set twice, in 2002 and then again 2013. Millville yields a similar record high, this one at 86 set back in 1952.

According to the Iowa Environmental Mesonet, a data collection website hosted by Iowa State University, there's a 36.4 percent chance of a 90 degree days on July 17, the peak. By September 1, it's less than half that. September 15 is the first date where 90s have never been experienced at Atlantic City International Airport.

So, October 90 degree heat is rare. Here's the seven latest 90 degree or greater heat at A.C. Airport.

Note that records go back to 1943.
